My name is Alexis and I'm 14 going into my sophmore year at WVHS. B.B.L. came together from my nickname which is Lex, and it stands for Braids By Lex. I love dancing, singing and playing with little kids whenever I have spare time. When I was 5 I taught myself to do ponytails and twists with my little Barbies and dolls. Then gradually I advanced to braids and as i got older i started teaching myself how to do cornrows and french braids. Right when I turned 12 I started doing my younger sisters hair in four cornrows and as i got better the braids kept getting smaller and neater. Just a few weeks ago my mom and I were sitting down and she asked me when i was going to get a job. Honestly, I wasn't planning on working until i turned 16,that way I could bag groceries at Food4Less down the street. The most common styles are individuals, cornrows and french braids.
